Our story
Hi, I’m Rosch De Klerk, the founder of RDK LIVE.
I believe it’s important for founders and CEOs to add a personal touch to their websites—to remind everyone that behind the business and promotions are real people with real stories.
I’d like to share a little insight into how RDK LIVE came to be, the journey that brought us here, and what has shaped us into who we are today.
I started out in the gaming and animation industry, but my path wasn’t easy or quick. It took me five long years to land my first creative job. During that time, I juggled three low-paying jobs—working as a junior chef, pot washer, hotel room cleaner, and even as a football steward—while also working for free at various studios like Gaslight Games and Distant Future Animation Studio as a concept artist, 2D illustrator, and 3D animator.
There were countless moments when I decided to give up on my dream of working in a creative field. But somehow, my passion always pulled me back. Then, one day, preparation met opportunity, and I landed my first job at Route 1 Games in Sheffield, UK. It was a reminder that failure isn’t final—it’s just part of the process.
The obstacle was the opportunity
After a year in the gaming industry, I experienced my first "rug pull"—being made redundant due to a lack of funding. What seemed like a disaster at the time turned out to be a blessing in disguise, as it led me to the world of eLearning.
This was an entirely new space for me, but it felt like home. Suddenly, all my skills—animation, illustration, design, 3D modeling, storytelling—were not only relevant but essential. In education, it’s not about the medium, but the ability to tell a compelling story to teach and inspire.
This revelation fueled my ambition. I set out to gather a team of talented individuals to transform eLearning by merging expertise from the gaming, animation, and graphic design industries with a shared vision of innovation.
Over time, our team grew stronger. We began working on larger projects with bigger clients, building trust in the professional space. Soon, we were collaborating with industry leaders like McDonald's, Lloyds, and Bain & Company, among others.
